When and where to find us

The Flathead Chapter holds regular monthly meetings from January through May and October and November, typically on the third Thursday each month. Meetings include an informational topic and a quick business meeting.

Each year the chapter organizes a field trip in May or June to a local site of interest.

Our December meeting is typically a Christmas Party that includes an awards ceremony and a fundraiser for a scholarship fund. This fund is used to provide 2 to 3 scholarships for forestry or natural resources students at the Flathead Valley Community College and the Salish Kootenai College.

The chapter also hosts the Forest Management Station for the Family Forestry Expo the first weekend in May, which is a large public event where members hand out seedlings to the public, and engage on forestry discussions, issues, and education in a friendly informal atmosphere.
